As the COVID-19 situation continues to develop, we understand that this is a very difficult and challenging time for many fellow Australians.
This is an unprecedented situation and we want to provide you with an update during this time of uncertainty.
Being a predominantly online business, we are currently operating as per normal. Being that it is just the two of us, there is minimal contact upon items and packing material etc. we are however taking the precautions of good hand hygiene and regularly sanitising working areas, we are doing this to minimise any possible transmission.
We have been informed by our logistic partners on the ways they are taking precautions and this involves all deliveries requiring signatures will now be authority to leave “ATL”.
This means the parcel will be left in a safe place at the delivery address, and a photo will be taken of the item at the door. If the courier cannot deliver the package to a safe place, they will leave a calling card with further instructions. In this instance, the parcel will be dropped in to a local Parcel Connect outlet for collection at a convenient time, or returned to the nearest depot for redelivery.
We need to stress that if an item is delivered with this method, that we take no responsibility and will not compensate any packages that are missing/stolen. If this is of concern to you, please contact us so we can try and work out a solution.
On the subject of logistics; we are experiencing significant delays on international shipments due to limited flight availability, processing issues and quarantine.
We have a large number of shipments pending with several (long overdue) having already arrived.
On top of the already numerous hurdles we face, we are also being affected by the significant drop in the Australian dollar, where possible we will absorb this difference but don't be surprised to see an increase on the price of some goods. The overall costs of international shipments are also increasing due to the limited availability of international flights, this will also have an impact on pricing.
As the situation continues to develop we are expecting to face severe delays to unreleased products, when known we will update the product listings to reflect these changes.
Rest assured we are working hard to minimise the impact to our business and your shopping experience, we do expect to encounter more disruptions as we move forward through this crisis.
As our nation faces one of the greatest threats to our everyday life, we urge everyone to adopt a spirit of kindness, patience and cooperation. Please follow the advise of our health authorities and we hope you and your families stay safe during this challenging time.
